Jo Jo Laali is a beautiful Kannada film with of a classical dancer single mother who discovers that her 4 year old son born of a love affair has AIDS transmitted by her (from mother to son). The agony of her heartwrenching loss is portrayed through music and dance and the film ends on a note of positivity with a strong message for society in this gripping emotional drama. Starring Kalpana Pandit, Akash Hora, Shrey Tejani it has a thandav music by Ricky Kej. The romantic thandav is picturised on Kalpana, which is a tribute to Sridevi's Thandav from Chandni.  The film is scripted, screenplay and directed by Sandeep Malani

Jo Jo Laali, received rave reviews across the board and is a film on AIDS AWARENESS which bagged Kalpana Pandit, the coveted Best Actress Award at the South Indian Mega Film Festival in 2011. The film also recently won Best Story by Sandeep Malani and Best Title Track awards at the Imphal International Film Festival. It also won the Best Director award for Sandeep at the Childrens Film Festival.  It is next scheduled to be screened at the prestigious AKKA WORLD KANNADA CONVENTION 2012 in Atlanta, Georgia on September 1st 2012
